Zereen Saba

Research Officer

Zereen Saba is working as Research Officer in Center for People & Environ (CPE). By birth she belongs from Khulna in Bangladesh. She has great expertise in the field of meteorology, climatology and disaster management with vast experience in data analysis and also great interest in research work.

She has completed her B.Sc. degree in the “Disaster Management” from Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Patuakhali, Bangladesh and M.Sc. degree in “Meteorology” from Department of Meteorology, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

She completed her four months internship of in the Department of Atmospheric Science, Central University of Rajasthan, India. In addition, she was an intern in Bangladesh Meteorological Department for 5months. While completing her B.Sc degree she did her thesis on “Study on existing Environmental Management System of a cylinder Manufacturing Industry of Energypac at Dacope, Khulna”. Her M.Sc thesis was on “Impacts of Radiance Data Assimilation on The Simulation of Extreme Hailstorm Events over Bangladesh using WRF Model”

She is highly interested to research, a part of her M.Sc thesis was published as a research paper entitle to “The Assimilation of Satellite Radiance Data for Hailstorm Prediction over Bangladesh with Three-Dimensional Variational (3DVar) WRF Model”.


She wants to gain knowledge through research and explore in the area of Disaster Management, Climate Change, Numerical Weather Prediction, Data Assimilation and other weather-related forecasting models.
