
Umme Hani Asha
Research Intern
Umme Hani Asha is working as a Research Intern in the Center for People & Environ (CPE) from July, 2023. She has completed her B.Sc. degree in the “Environmental Science and Resource Management” from Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Tangail, Bangladesh. While completing her Batchelor’s degree, she has completed his academic thesis on “Soil Carbon Stock and CO2 mitigation potential at Ratargul Swamp forest, Sylhet, Bangladesh”. This research highlighted her commitment to understanding and mitigating the impact of climate change on local ecosystems.
She is actively involved in extracurricular activities. She has authored articles published in online papers. Her project, “Rainwater Harvesting Tank for both Urban and Rural areas,” emerged as the winner at World Environment Day 2022, highlighting her innovative approach to addressing water-related challenges.
With a high curiosity and a strong passion for research, she aspires to contribute significantly to the fields of Climate Change, Disaster Management, Carbon Sequestration and Stock, Water and Sanitation, Hygiene, Environmental Hazards, Public Health, and more.
