Sumaiya Zakir is working as Research Intern in Center for People & Environ (CPE).She had previously done an internship in Stamford University’s Department of Environmental Science’s CAPS (Center for Atmospheric Pollution Studies).
She obtained her BSc. in Geography and Environment from Bangladesh’s Jahangirnagar University. currently enrolled at the same university’s MSc. programme in Geography and Environment. Her academic thesis, titled “Analysis of Air Pollution in Dhaka City based on Concentration of PM2.5 and PM10,” has been finished.
She is quite interested in environmental research, particularly in the area of disaster management and climate change. She believes that thorough knowledge, competence, and a way to explore topics like how human behavior and activity affect the environment both directly and indirectly may be found through research. She hopes to build restoration plans and track this process in order to contribute to long-term environmental solutions by using her expertise of natural science to detect and monitor hazards.
