Research Fellow (Gender)

 

Olena Reza is working at the Center for People and Environ (CPE), an independent research and policy institute in Dhaka since 2016 as Research Fellow (Gender). She has obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sociology from the University of Dhaka. She gathered wide-ranging experiences in conducting social research for project planning and feasibility, evaluation studies, natural resources management, livelihood promotion, capacity building, conflict resolution, and consensus building using both quantitative and qualitative methods and tools for the last 35 years. She has designed and implemented several participatory research and resources management projects nationally and internationally. She worked with many multi-disciplinary teams and expert groups, development agencies, and partner organizations from home and abroad. She has completed assignments successfully in several socio-economic and environmental studies with intensive fieldwork, participatory research, training, motivation, etc. Preparation of training manual, inputs in the designing of surveys develops, and selection of methods, tools, and techniques, particularly about gender issues and concerns. She is also the author/co-author of several articles, papers, and a few books on natural resources management and livelihoods.
