NbS Intelligence Development Facilitator

We are going to collect quantitative and qualitative intelligence on nature-based solutions from the coastal belt of Bangladesh. For this assignment, we are going to hire four NbS Intelligence Development Facilitators.

Number of positions: 04

Duration: 10 days (Tentatively in the first week of September)

Renumeration: 2500.00 BDT/day

 

Working area: Cox’sbazar, Noakhali, Bhola (Can be redefined based on requirement).

Expertise and experience

    1. At least graduation in Forestry/ Environmental science/ Agro-forestry/Coastal Disaster/Climate Change/Geography or any other relevant subject from a recognized university.

    2. Experienced in geo-referencing, GIS&RS.

    3. Experience in data collection through SurveyCTO/Kobo/QUALTRICS.

    4. Experience in highly sensitive data collection on nature-based solutions, mangroves, forest ecology, coastal ecology, and climate change will get preference.

    5. Local graduates will get priority.

Job responsibilities:

    1. Performing in-depth interview.

    2. Co-facilitating FGD and KII.

    3. Soil and water sample collection.

    4. Georeferencing of elevation, slope, curvature, geomorphology, topography, stream.

    5. Existing flora and fauna identification.

    6. Georeferencing of estuaries, creeks, dunes, and lagoons.

    7. Georeferencing of distance from the road, distance from Settlement, distance from agriculture field, and embankment and any other coastal natural and built infrastructures.

    8. Any other assignment provided by the CPE
