Center for People & Environ (CPE) provided end evaluation service by reviewing the reviewing project documents and also assessing the overall quality of the implementation by collecting beneficiaries’ opinions on the quality of the services they received.
Objectives of the study
The purpose of the evaluation study is to assess the relevance, timeliness, quality, effectiveness, replicability, and sustainability of the project in the areas: (i) project objectives and results as outlined in the project log frame; and (ii) to improve future resilience programmes of BDRCS and IFRC.
Methodology of the study
- Review of project documents and strategies including proposal, work plan, Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (VCA) report, baseline study report, report on the flood early warning system activity, monitoring reports, event report, bi-annual reports, annual reports etc.
- Participatory research to get actual data, perspectives and experiential knowledge on community resilience through reducing the vulnerability of highly exposed people by disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, livelihood, shelter, water, sanitation and hygiene, health and capacity enhancement of the people including women, children, elder people and people with disability as well as to substantiate people’s perspectives on participatory management including planning, implementation and monitoring etc.
